Lemonade suppresses thirst and boosts you with vitamins, aside from having a nice tropical taste.
Classic homemade lemonade
In order to make classic lemonade, take 6 big fresh lemons (or 250 ml of lemon juice), 6 glasses of water, and 1 glass of sugar.
Wash the fruits with tap water. Leave them in hot water to get more juice. Use a special juice squeezer – it can be bought cheaply in a home depot.
If you don’t have it, don’t despair – squeeze the juice manually. Cut the top of lemon, push it to the table with your pal, and roll over. Then cut into halves and squeeze juice by your hands. You’ll need a glass of fresh juice.
Take enameled bowl or jar (so that the juice wouldn’t acidify), mix sugar in water until it gets diluted. Add lemon juice in the mixture.
Mix it all again, add more water, if the taste is too sour. The beverage can be poured in a beautiful jar decorated by a few slices of lemon. Leave it to cool.
To make the lemonade more useful and fragrant, replace sugar with natural honey (1:1 ratio), but it’s important to add honey at the end of preparation to that to preserve its useful properties.
Optionally, add ice cubes.
Homemade lemonade with mint
Get a bunch of fresh mints, about 3/4 of a glass of lemon juice, 1-liter plastic bottle, and 6 tablespoons of sugar.
Cut mint and put it in the container, then press with a spoon, add lemon juice and water, then sugar, then mix it all properly.
Now put the mixture in a bottle of a jar, add sparkling water from the fridge. Serve the lemonade right away, and add a piece of lemon, ice, and a leaf of mint in each glass.
Want a more interesting taste? Then the recipe is a bit more complicated…
Prepare a bunch of fresh mint, 250 ml of lemon juice, 150 grams of sugar (6 pieces).
Mix juice and sugar, add and rumple mint. Add 1.5 liters of boiling water. Mix it up, cool down, and leave overnight in the fridge.
In the morning, mix the lemonade, filter out, and pour in a jar. You can drink it like that, or add sparkling water and ice cubes.
Pour the lemonade in high glasses, decorate with a slice of lemon or orange, and a mint leaf.
It’s better to use freshly made lemon juice – not the juice bought in a store.
